Ok....I admit I wasn't the bet Voxer lately because having a baby took a little time and for some reason the Vox website wouldn't allow me to create new posts directly from my iPad.
But....I miss Vox....I can't figure this out at all....
Is it me or are all of you Voxer's having the same issue.
So....we've all had our embarrassing moment, however, I think my latest one tops the charts!!! I was wearing black pants last Thursday and all was fine, or so I thought. I got home that evening and just before we were getting ready to go to dinner, John say, "baby, your pants look like the seam has come un done". At first I thought....no big deal, he said it so calmly there must not be a problem. I went into the bathroom and noticed that the seam on the BUTT had indeed come undone and there was a 6 in gaping hole that showed my whole booty to everyone. Needless to say, I was so humiliated, I couldn't even go out to dinner....all I could think was, I was showing my booty to everyone all day long. I asked the girls in my office the next day and they all say they didn't notice it.....all I can say is, hopefully it just happened once I got home otherwise I showed off my booty all day.
Lesson learned....check your butt often, it may be shining for everyone to see.
I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to stop and write. I went back to work 2 weeks ago today.
First of all, let me just say.....NO ONE warned me that the day that you drop your baby off with the nanny, will be the hardest day in your life. I never thought that would be so hard.
Fortunately one of my dear friends did warn me that when you see the nanny's number come up on your phone, you won't be able to answer the phone quick enough and that your heart will literally stop. This happened, the nanny called the other day to just confirm her vacation plans for this year and when her number came up on my cell phone, my heart stopped and didn't start beating again until after about the third or fourth sentence out of her mouth when I realized that she wasn't even calling to talk about my baby and only tell me about her vacation.
My sweet princess is starting to take on her little personality and she is the sweetest little girl in the world.
I still can't believe that I almost missed out on this. I had said my entire adult life that I was never going to have any kids and I guess I almost didn't. Fortunately, God had other plans for me because I wouldn't trade being a mommy for anything in the world. The late night bottle feeding, the poopy diapers, the fussiness and all....it's all worth it. I could have never imagined how special this could be. I look forward to every stage as she grows from a sweet baby into a wonderful little girl and into a magnificant woman.
I can't say that this book comes with a recommendation from me. It sure isn't the worst book that I have ever read, however, it is written so elementary, I knew what was going to happen almost from the first chapter. If you want a quick 'lite' read, I'd say read this one.
Enjoy!
Happy Reading!
WOW!!! What a great book. Although this book is a novel, it tells such a heart warming story about loss, love and happiness.
For those of you who aren't reader, I'd say, your should make an exception for this book....you'll be happy you did.
Enjoy! Happy Reading!
I'm Black now!!!!
I oficially changed my last name. I have always said that I would never change my last name or even hyphenate it. Well, I guess everything really does change when you have a baby.
I went to the DPS and the Social Security office and officially changed my last name a few weeks ago.
Only one problem...I keep forgetting that I have a new last name, so if you call me Mrs. Black, I probably won't have a clue as to who you are talking to.
Kaiser had his surgery last Friday and let me tell you, it is terrible having a big dog with a cone head around the house. This is like having a bull in a china closet....
Poor baby...not only is he uncomfortable from the surgery, he absolutely hates the cone on his head too.
Fortunately, he is at the vet right now getting all of his bandages off and hopefully we can take the cone off too....
I'm a thirty something mother of one and a wife to my best friend...
